Unstrumental is the acapella group at Calabasas High School. They won the LAAF festival last year and were the highlighted performers this year. So, enjoy clips from their 20-minute, 4-song show!
My son recently was the stage manager for a local production of the musical, “Spring Awakening” which he’d declared for a couple of years as his favorite musical. My wife and I had not seen it before this local production and didn’t know the story other than a brief synopsis that our son provided. He was very proud of this particular production so we attended it with great anticipation and excitement.

The other day I had a sobering conversation with a 21-year-old woman. We covered a lot of topics, and when I got to my inevitable probing questions about her personal life and asked if she ever wanted to get married, her answer was a quick and resounding, “No.” The ensuing short exchange sealed the deal for me of how far we’ve come – as far as societal values – in just my own lifetime!
Who doesn’t have that horrid memory of high school or middle school when you were snubbed, ignored, or made fun of? Today, popularity is public. How many friends do you have on Facebook? How many views did your Vine or Instagram or YouTube post get? Our kids use #SocialMedia in ways that are good AND hurtful to themselves and others. And, it’s there forever. HOW do we all work with this today in Life, Love, and Social Media? THAT is our topic Thursday, November 13 at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET. We’ve special guest Nathan Engels, an expert on SEO joining us. AND, we are giving away THREE copies of his new book, How to Grow on Twitter for Bloggers!
We live in a world that seems to be governed by “feelings.” The classic therapy question is, “How do you feel (about that)?” Well, SHOULD our feelings be our guide in life and decisions? THAT is this week’s Moral Question of the Week. Add your thoughts in the comment section, below…
It’s time our Moral Question of the Week took on something hard! The other day my wife threw out, what appeared to me, perfectly good bananas. She said because they were covered with brown spots she believed that they were no longer good. She said doctors say there’s too much sugar in them at that point. I always thought that the slightly brown-patched bananas were actually better and tastier. What do you think?
