Holy Cow – I’m NOT That Dad #29

Category: I'm Not that Dad

We went to the Orange County Fair to see the Happy Together Tour (concert) and while visiting the grounds, we came upon this cow who had literally just given birth to her calf 90 minutes earlier. The cycle of life is beautiful and the crowd there was truly in awe. Moms are the same whatever the species!

Wow, it’s amazing that they let people get that close.  I would think they might be concerned about her freaking out and trampling the masses. It’s cool that you got to see it though.

Isn’t it cool! BTW Matt, would love your support tomorrow at #DadChat when we’re talkin’ #sports but I also want ALL OF US to get out the word to @ProcterGamble that we #dads DO NOT appreciate their commercials in The Olympics ignoring dads contributions to their kid’s sports efforts! ARE YOU KIDDING ME????

It’s a great series of ads. Here in Canada anyway, we’ve seen a few over the past few days that feature the parents of Canadian Olympians – both parents. In fact, this morning I saw one that featured a Dad only. Wonder if there’s a different strategy based on country?

Here in the U.S., the ONLY @ProcterGamble:twitter  commercials we’re seeing – that I’ve seen – are the mom ones!

I think you meant to comment on my other post today, Sam…reads really funny on this one!

Love that you caught this! I am looking forward to the full state fair experience myself soon.l Am busily recruiting farmers to help make sure I catch the cool farm stuff there. This would definitely rate up there!

We missed the actual birth by just 90 minutes! Can you imagine walking by and then seeing THAT! Hope to “see” YOU at #DadChat tomorrow night, JP!

Watching calves come into the world and occasionally assisting in the process is one of my favorite parts of raising cattle. Glad you could see this first-hand at the fair!

      It was beautiful Ryan!
