I really enjoyed the conversation with Bryce Zabel about the Kennedy book. I am motivated to purchase it when it comes out.
Just to put your comment about the die-hard supporters of Obama (who is no one I personally am especially supportive of) into perspective: His die-hard detractors, taking full advantage of their visible and accessible media platforms, have not once given him the benefit of the doubt on any policy or action he has taken, since his election in 2008. I have listened and read and watched to see if any of them (the Limbaughs, Hannitys, Levins, Savages, Coulters of the world, and that is only a few of the media professionals, and none of the political professionals) have ever said anything even grudgingly complimentary about his actions and choices. Nothing along those lines has come to my attention. Obama’s actions have, according to these sources, been nothing but awful. Assessment by this community of die-hards has not even been of the “reasonable people may differ on such-and-such” type, but framed as draconian in impact, arrogant and wrong-headed in genesis and socialist/Stalinist/fascist/Nazi/communist (take your choice) in principle.
What I’m saying is, let’s not castigate Obama’s Kool-Aid drinkers without recognizing the equal and opposite discourse of those who have drunk the equal and opposite flavor of Kool-Aid.

My BIG problem with your counter-assertion about Obama detractors @7f990e539df4ddefe26884eb65a5f04c:disqus is that they are NOT the main-stream media – ALL the main-stream papers, television networks, CNN and such, PLUS the majority of colleges and professors are Kool-Aid drinkers when it comes to Obama. There’s NO comparison when things like Benghazi get so little MSM coverage and so many other things that Obama has done that would have cause HUGE outcries for impeachment if it were a Republican exercising such abuse of power!

As for Bryce’s book – you can get it now as an e-reader! He tells a VERY compelling story and NOT a puff-piece which you might have expected!

      • Bryce Zabel

        Definitely not a puff piece!

    • Bryce Zabel

Personally, I like President Obama. It’s one of those things that Bruce and I disagree about it. Does that make me a “Kool-Aid drinker”? I don’t think so.

Gee @6f6b4a5cd08d14e051c198f67d302e6f:disqus – aren’t you a Scotch or Bourbon guy?
