Dad Wants a Style Change

Bruce, All dads have a “style.” My dad had one. It was a (now called) mashable Engineer-Accountatn-Air Force pilot melange that was uniquely his own. He pulled it off with his daring aplomb and savoir faire (read: oblivious) of penny loafers, white engineer socks, business-dress slacks, that had seen better days. These were sawn off at the knees, or maybe chewed off, it was hard to tell. His Air Force-pilot cool down jacket that had a 3-corner tear in one pocket. The leather bomber jacket was for special occassions, along with his in-flight helmet. Last two items weren’t every day things. Under the cool-down jacket he wore some kind of old dress-shirt that either had met death by leaky ink-pen, or it no longer had elbows. My dad was of the breed who did not believe in short-sleeved dressed shirts, and felt the wearer was probably selling used cars, or was about to. All of this splendor was topped off by a Military Haircut of no more than 1/4′. At 6′ 1″ he was pretty impressive. My mom thought he was anything but stylish.

Wow, LOVE that style…might have to adopt it for my own!

Cute commentary!  Rings oh-so-true for the men in my life! 🙂

Fortunately for ME, my wife has GREAT style and chooses what I wear whenever it counts…like on the golf course (for her that matters…)!

I still think dad needs lots of tattoos. If this dad can do it and be confident he looks good and doesn’t care what anyone else thinks, anyone can do it! 🙂

I’ll have to take it up with the write and artist of “Because I Said So,” Aaron!
