Loading Up the Flex: Road Trip to Berklee Day One – I’m NOT That Dad

Category: I'm Not that Dad

I’m taking a road trip and driving my son 3,000 miles from Los Angeles to Boston to begin college at The Berklee College of Music. We are taking a brand-new 2013 Ford Flex. The big question was would all his music equipment, all his clothes, AND his hat fit inside? Let’s find out, shall we?

Read all about our trip in this column, My Empty-Nest Cross-Country Road-Trip to College with Ford and join us Thursday, August 30 for a #DadChat all about Family Vacations!

While I realize you’re not THAT dad, Bruce, I find the series of coincidences between Not That Dad and you to be remarkable.  It was as if someone was following your life.

Yeah Barry, life is funny that way, isn’t it?

Man, that sure is spacious, but after watching this, I see there is a clear and significant difference between boys and girls. My daughter had SO much stuff when she went to college it was insane. We would’ve needed a topper on the Flex! lol Safe travels. Seeing pics on Instagram and they look great!

NO DOUBT, Mimi. My son’s clothes were nothing compared to his music equipment!

Hi Bruce, As a Flex owner, I knew for sure that all that stuff would fit, but it was still a site to behold. What I particularly appreciate is not just that it fit, but that you still had room to see how the back. Very cool!

I hope you’re enjoying the comfort of the seats. The seats on the Flex are the most comfortable, just the right amount of cushion and support.

    Enjoy the journey!
