A Summer Day on the Lake – I’m NOT That Dad #24

I live across the street from a lovely man-made lake. Simon, my dog, and I often go for walks around it during the summer and see all the fowl that populate it. Sometimes, it’s quite funny and often it’s even a tad dangerous! If you can recognize the song that plays in the background, I will be mighty impressed!

    If I am not mistaken the song is “Today.” I have heard it many times. My parents listened to it. It comes from a movie “Advance to the Rear” with Glenn Ford. My dad watched that movie and I consequently watched and laughed too. I couldn’t recall the group that played it and had to look it up based off the movie. The New Christy Minstrels was who performed it.  I guess I can say “thanks dad” for making me watch movies…..
