We Asked Dr. Hill at #DadChat

Category: #DadChat

#DadChat was honored to have renowned pediatrician Dr. David Hill – aka @DadsBook – on Thursday, June 21, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. PT. The NBA Game stole some of our “Thunder,” so to speak, but we had an intimate chat nonetheless! Questions of all sorts were asked and three lucky people won copies of Dr. Hill’s new book, Dad to Dad: Parenting Like a Pro. Next week – June 28 – we #GetUnreal at #DadChat, with @TheGoToMom!

David L. Hill, MD, FAAP, is a vice president of Cape Fear Pediatrics, an adjunct assistant professor of pediatrics at the University of North Carolina–Chapel Hill Medical School, and a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Communications and Media.

Dr. Hill is a regular columnist for Wilmington Parent Magazine and PediatricNews.com. He has written and broadcast on child care issues for local and national radio, television and internet-based media, including NPR’s “All Things Considered,” WUNC-FM, WHQR-FM, WWAY-TV, and WECT-TV. He writes and records instructional videos for numerous websites, such as www.Livestrong.com, www.cool-baby.info, www.oralantibiotics.com, www.organicbabyandchild.com, www.seasonalallergiessymptoms.com, and others.

He completed his internship and residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill, where he received the Edward R. Curnen Book Award in Pediatrics. He attended medical school at the University of Texas-Houston, where he served as his class president and was involved in the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society.

Dr. Hill lives in Wilmington, North Carolina and enjoys spending time with his three children, Abby, age 12; Sellers, age 10; and Julian, age 7.
