An Amazing Party

Larry and Nancy Sanitsky threw the Bar Mitzvah Party of ALL-TIME on Saturday evening, November 10th for their son, Nevin. They took over the top floors of the AT&T building in Downtown L.A. Clearly they also made a deal with G*d, for the weather was spectacular, with incredible clear views from the top of this building. The ceremony took place as the sun set. The party was split between an adult area and kid area with both getting incredible music, food, and spirits. Larry put on an amazing show which is fully captured in this video – don’t miss it! I got to re-connect with old showbiz friends I hadn’t seen in years like my former partner Allen Shapiro, long-time friends Sam and Shanit Schwartz, Ilene Kahn Power, and so many of their kids that I’d not seen since they were little. It felt like a reunion. It was spectacular and this video just gives you a hint of the evening! Enjoy!

Hooray for #Hollywood

I took the young man that I mentor – Daniel – to a screening of Wreck-It Ralph at The El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood. We loved the movie, but we also loved playing tourist at the Chinese Theatre, looking at all the stars’ foot and handprints – and enjoying all the tourists there, too. I’ve lived here my whole life, but I still get a kick out of it. BTW, Wreck-It Ralph was absolutely TERRIFIC!

Roller-Blading in Venice, California

This past summer, on a whim, I went roller-blading in Venice, California. I know my new friend Shaun White would have preferred I skateboarded and maybe next time I will on one of his new boards! In the meantime, enjoy the sites and my commentary as I roll along…

Concert Series: The Goodbye Concert by Refrain

My son Arnie has begun his college career at The Berklee College of Music. His band – Refrain – had a Goodbye Concert this past summer. Enjoy these highlights and see the birth of a star! We’ll ALL look back at this video someday and say, “we knew them when.” But I’m not a biased dad!

Concert Series: Kenny Loggins and The House on Pooh Corner

This past summer was concert season and this was just one of many I attended. It was at The Canyon Club in Agoura Hills, California. A very intimate club where some pretty big names occasionally perform. Kenny Loggins lives nearby in Montecito (next to Santa Barbara, California) so it was easy for him to come and perform. I loved it and had such a good time. It’s obvious from this video!

My Interview with iJustine

Little did I know that when I attended a taping of The Ricki Lake Show with #FriendsOfRicki that I’d be seated next to the lovely iJustine. AND, little did I know it was HER when I did this interview. Where was my head? I’d actually seen @iJustine speak at BlogWorld LA but just didn’t put 2 and 2 together until AFTER I’d totally interrogated her! iJustine (Justine Ezarik) was such a fun sport though, and is everything ANY guy could dream of – so Ryan, get that ring, dude, before someone else beats you to it!
