This was the first time I “GOT” the value of an Ivy League education. Not that I ever disparaged one before, but this tour and the information expressed gave me an insight into how cool going to a college like Yale could be. I sort of wish I could do it all over again!
The Empty-Nest Syndrome. We all hear about it but when our kids are young we believe it’s so far away. Trust me, it happens in the blink-of-an-eye. We are a few months away from our second son leaving for college. Are you prepared for the empty-nest? Will your kids even be able to leave home? More kids are returning home – after college – to live than ANY time in our history – I believe it’s over 80% for extended periods of time! This Thursday, March 26 at 6:00 p.m. PT/9:00 p.m. ET we will TAKE on the Empty-Nest for those in the throes of it and those that will face it – hopefully!
Continuing to read from The Empty-Nest Road Trip Blues, we move on to Chapter 8 – Day 8 – and our visits to Niagara Falls and Cooperstown, home of the Baseball Hall of Fame.
Hours of video were taken on our cross-country road trip last summer, from Los Angeles to Boston, driving my son to begin his freshman year at college. It was an eventful cross-country road-trip, replete with break-downs, surprises, and flea-bag motels. Enjoy some of the highlights in this short 8-minute video of the top sites!
