We are so honored and pleased to have the inimitable, incomparable, and incredible @AngelaMaiers as this week’s #DadChat co-host, February 8 at 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., PST. Our topic is both #YouMatter and Open Mic for any questions you have for Angela or other things you’d like to discuss.
Did you read the GREAT article by Elizabeth Bernstein, Meet the Marriage Killer? I thought is was SPOT ON! Stop nagging! I also think that Nagging will be an excellent topic for #DadChat and have invited Ms. Bernstein to co-host with me. We are discussing it right now and I sincerely hope she can and will – sometime next month.
Next week at #DadChat – Thursday Feb 2 – we go from #Seniors to #Sex. We have a very special guest, a former teen prostitute who now advocates on behalf of teens. It will be a frank discussion. Details will be posted early next week.
The first #DadChat of 2012 was held Thursday, January 5. We discussed the differences between raising boys and raising girls. IF you believe many of the PC police, you might think that boys and girls are the same (see The Most Egregious Politically Correct Lies). I assert boy and girls are distinctly different. And, the challenges and joys of parenting them are distinctly different. Exceptions abound, but these generalities tend to be true.
1/20/12 – The battle FOR gender supremacy was held last night at #DadChat! By all accounts it was a draw but you can determine if you think there was a winner by reading the transcript! Co-host Mimi Baker was simply marvelous!
Enjoy the new Because I Said So comic strip, Language of Love, and see Dad DO #Elvis!
The new “A Dad’s Point-of-View”column is How to Stay Cool to Your Kids. Enjoy and maybe it will help you be cool (to them)?
#DadChat this Thursday, Jan. 19 was a ton of fun. We had over 1500 tweets from over 100 participants. Here’s the transcript…read what you missed and come next week for “The Triple Decker Generation” with co-host @BarryBirkett!
#DadChat has always been about being a great parent – dad or mom. And, we’ve always had equal participation from moms and dads.
You know that we won’t really be pitting dads against moms or women against men, but I think it is time for some #DadChat gender fun! That is why I’ve invited the funny and wonderfully snarky (at least with me) Mimi Baker to co-host this Thursday, January 19 from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m., PST.
