Do You Believe (in The Serenity Prayer)?
Anyone who has a family member or friend in AA has heard of The Serenity Prayer. You don’t have to be part of AA to either agree with it (or not). It says, “God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.” This week’s Moral Question is: Do you believe (in it)? Or do you believe we have more control than the prayer implies?

I recently had the privilege of attending the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the founding of Vitamin Angels. It was a gloriously fun event held at the beautiful Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Coast, California.
The event was a gathering of sponsors, donors, and others who have supported and worked with/for Vitamin Angels over the years. It included a terrifically fun golf tournament, lovely swag gifts from the sponsors, and a beautiful outdoor dinner with entertainment and short powerful speeches, accompanied by compelling video.

My #SocialMedia tutor – who started me on this path – is married to a photographer and, as such, has very strong opinions about the use of photographs. In this age of such mass dissemination of information and “sharing” of said info, do you believe you must pay and/or pay attribution for the use of an image on your blog/website? To be more specific, do you believe if your efforts are not blatantly commercial, is it okay to “lift” an image? Please comment below…

Emma Watson gave a stirring speech at the UN recently (hear it above). She was as poised a young speaker as I’ve ever seen and spoke passionately about the need for gender equality, usually two words I tend to disdain. She made good points. Is the UN the right forum for ANY positive efforts? A good question, but OUR forum is certainly worthy of discussing the underlying issue. NOT about “gender equality” and girls/women, but about what is happening to our boys and men as a result of feminism, and where we parents must work to educate our girls and boys to be the BEST PEOPLE they can be – regardless of what is between their legs!
